Geauga Bowmen fundraiser raffle
We are holding a raffle to try to raise some cash to upgrade our targets. As you may have already noticed, our elk and caribou are looking like their ready for the retirement range. If sell all of the tickets, we will be able to purchase new targets, which in turn, makes our club more attractive to local archers. This is a good way for non shooters to help support our club and have great odds on some awesome prizes. Ask your relatives, take a few to work, the local watering hole or any where sportsmen congregate. The tickets practically sell themselves, we just need to make them available! See mike for tickets.
The Great Geauga County Fair
The Great Geauga County Fair is held at the Geauga County Fairgrounds in Burton over Labor Day weekend each year. This fair has been delighting residents since 1823. The five-day event features livestock, live entertainment, a midway of rides, lots of fair food and much much more. once again, we will be running the archery range located in the natural resources area. We have a great time working with the kids and this year we hope to have many volunteers. That would be a welcome change so please make an effort to come out!
GREAT LAKES OUTDOORS
Last Saturday, Great Lakes had the Grand Opening for their new Super Store in Middlefield! When I got there, the place was packed, the registers were 25 people deep, there was no place to park and it was standing room only. Even with all of that hassle, it was still worth the trip! I was in awe of that beautiful store. It was like Bass Pro Shop and Cabela's but much closer to home. The good news is we will have a new place to hold our meeting in the winter months. The Grand opening deals are good thru this Thursday.
